At Shelley Theatre we take the privacy of your data very seriously.  Our privacy statement specifies how we treat personally identifiable information.  We provide this privacy statement because you have a right to know what information we collect and how it is protected and used under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force on the 25 May 2018.

 

What personal data is collected and for how long? 

 

Booking Tickets 

 

We capture your name, address, postcode, phone number and payment details.  These are stored on the Admit One portal, but payment details are not retained.  The information is stored until you ask us to delete you from the system.  The information is securely stored both here at the theatre and at Admit One which is located within the United Kingdom.  We train our staff and volunteers that your data is not to be given to a third party. On occasion we may contact you with important information related to your booking or if a particular show requires data for funding purposes. 

 

Newsletter 

 

You sign up to receive our weekly newsletter either via our website or filling in a slip in the venue.  We ask for your name and an email address.  This information is stored with Mail Chimp, who are a leading provider, that send out our emails to you.  You can request to unsubscribe from these newsletters each time a newsletter is sent or if we see that newsletters are not being opened, we will delete you from the database.

 

Do we share your data? 

 

We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information to third parties for marketing purposes.

 

How can I see what information you are keeping on me? 

 

You have the right to get a copy of the information that we hold about you.  You can request a copy of your personal information in writing to Shelley Theatre, Beechwood Avenue, Bournemouth, BH5 1LX.  Please include your full name, address and contact telephone number and details of the specific information you require, including any relevant dates.  This service is charged at £5. 

 

How do you stop us using your data? 

 

You can request that we stop using, removing or completely delete any record of you by simply getting in touch with us at the theatre.

We do not control and we are not responsible for websites that are referred to or linked from our websites and that use of your personal information on these websites will be subject to their own privacy rules.
