An Evening with Polly Morris
Singer Songwriter Polly Morris will be in the Shelley Theatre to entertain you with her Observational Comedy Songs and more thoughtful numbers. She will be joined by her band and some surprise guests in order to Launch her Fifth Album. Polly has produced 4 albums in the last 4 years and the fifth one which includes songs such as " I have turned into my Mother", "Best People" as well as some with a more bluesy feel, promises to be one of the best. Come along for an evening of music and entertainment.

Tobe Hooper's controversial, often dubbed the most horrific horror film of all time arrives as part of an all film Double Bill extravaganza The Texas Chain Saw Massacre When Sally (Marilyn Burns) hears that her grandfather's grave may have been vandalized, she and her paraplegic brother, Franklin (Paul A. Partain), set out with their friends to investigate. After a detour to their family's old farmhouse, they discover a group of crazed, murderous outcasts living next door. As the group is attacked one by one by the chainsaw-wielding Leatherface (Gunnar Hansen), who wears a mask of human skin, the survivors must do everything they can to escape. Projected in its original 16mm format. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre Part 2 Chainsaw-wielding maniac Leatherface (Bill Johnson) is up to his cannibalistic ways once again, along with the rest of his twisted clan, including the equally disturbed Chop-Top (Bill Moseley). This time, the masked killer has set his sights on pretty disc jockey Vanita "Stretch" Brock (Caroline Williams), who teams up with Texas lawman Lefty Enright (Dennis Hopper) to battle the psychopath and his family deep within their lair, a macabre abandoned amusement park. Fourteen years have passed since the fateful night Thisbe’s parents, Helena and Demetrius, were lost in the woods. The only thing they remember is waking up completely in love with one another. But as their love becomes obsession, where does this leave their neglected and confused daughter, Thisbe? Cue the prankster Puck and his fairy flunkeys who love nothing more than to meddle with the mortal world. With the promise of solving all of her problems, they lure Thisbe into the woods where it isn’t long before she finds herself embroiled in their roguery. Intoxicated with magic and adventure, has Thisbe gone too far this time? Can she stop her family falling apart? And does she even want to? With
integrated into the performance and with an original score, this play is full of playful wit and boisterous theatricality.

Bournemouth Folk Club present
Award winning contemporary folk group Tinderbox are Dublin-born singer Monique Houraghan and guitarist Dan Tucker with multi-instrumentalist Bob Burke. Tonight's concert is the long-anticipated launch of their new studio album ’All Grown Up’. The songs address shades of hope and light; reflections on youth and adulthood. Tinderbox have toured Europe and United States as well as UK and Ireland. With six albums under their belts Tinderbox have amassed an impressive catalogue of self-penned music. Tinderbox are well known for the thoughtful lyrics, beautiful melodies and intricate finger-style guitar accompaniment. Their songs have explored a myriad of poignant themes from war and the environment to lost friendship, global travel and love. “Gorgeous” (Tom Robinson). In search of a new perspective, a family of five leave the comforts of home to live remotely in the Yukon wilderness during the long northern winter and amidst the surprises that the rawness of nature provide. Filmed over 9 months, off the grid, without external crew, and featuring the unique perspectives of children, All The Time In The World explores the theme of disconnecting from our hectic and technology laden lives in order to reconnect with each other, ourselves and our natural environment – parents connecting with children, children connecting with nature. Winner of 22 awards from around the world. A family friendly Canadian film with some wonderful local connections to Bournemouth and we are delighted to announce that the family who are the subjects of the film will all be in attendance at the screening and taking questions after.
